For thermostats, you need to cut off the power of the circuit breaker, install the wire from your 24-volt adapter to the "C" terminal and the other wire to the "RC" terminal, use the included jumper and connect from "RH" to "RC" terminals if the HVAC system has cooling, plug the power adapter into the socket, and turn on the power of the circuit breaker.
