Newhouse Hardware CHIMEBASE2 Door Bell Chime Mechanism

A doorbell system consists of four essential components – a doorbell chime, a push button, a transformer, and the wiring that connects them all together (refer to the wiring diagrams below). If there are any issues with the chime, it may or may not be the source of the problem. Please see the "Troubleshooting" section for common problems and tips.

CHIME BASE ONLY: This item includes the chime mechanism only, and does not come with the cover or doorbell button. Search for model CHM3DCOVER for a compatible cover or CHM3D for the complete chime base and cover set. This chime will also fit most Nutone models, with dimensions of 6.75 inches in length, 4.75 inches in width, and 1.75 inches in depth.

TWO SOUNDS: The chime produces a classic two-note "Ding Dong" sound for the front door button, and has an additional "Dong" signal for a separate rear or side door button.

DIMENSIONS: The base dimensions are 6.75 inches in length and 4.75 inches in width, with an overall depth of 1.75 inches. Please measure your existing chime before purchasing to ensure a proper fit.

COMPATIBILITY: This chime is designed to work with a 16-volt/10 VA or 16-volt/15 VA transformer (not included). For a compatible transformer, search for model "16TR" or "3TRAN".

INCLUDES: The package contains the door chime base and mounting screws.
